The Coalition for Dialogue and Negotiations (CDN) is pleased to announce internship opportunities for passionate and driven individuals committed to advancing peace, dialogue, and human rights in contexts of armed conflict.

CDN is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting dialogue, negotiations, mediation, and sustainable conflict resolution—particularly in regions affected by violence, democratic erosion, and humanitarian crises. Our work is rooted in a strong commitment to justice, inclusive governance, and the protection of human rights.

Internship Overview:

We are seeking interns with a strong interest in:

  • Dialogue and negotiations in conflict settings
  • Mediation and peacebuilding
  • Human rights in armed conflict
  • Policy research and advocacy
  • Socio-economic impacts of armed conflicts

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth research on peace, conflict, and human rights issues
  • Designing and drafting policy briefs, op-eds, research papers, and other advocacy materials
  • Supporting the development of policy recommendations for national and international stakeholders
  • Monitoring relevant geopolitical developments and producing timely analyses
  • Data collection and analysis

  • Remote or hybrid options are available
  • Flexible hours, based on mutual agreement
  • Each approved deliverable will be financially remunerated, ensuring recognition of your work and contribution
  • Will receive training on writing Advocacy Letters, Op-Eds, and Policy Briefs
  • Opportunities to collaborate with experienced scholars, practitioners, and advocacy experts

Who Should Apply:

We welcome applications from:

  • Graduate and advanced undergraduate students
  • Recent graduates
  • Early-career professionals with backgrounds in international relations, political science, conflict studies, human rights, African studies, public policy, or related fields
  • Practitioners in related areas with a minimum of a first degree

Strong writing skills, research experience, and a demonstrated commitment to social justice and human rights are highly valued.
